my mind has gone all fuzzy, this tends to happen during the first few days of bunns return, I will regain my focus soon, but I'm sure el D you must be right and with the apparent abscents of bf you should now make the next cryptic move...going to lie down in a darkened room for a bitsmiley - run

Well done, lofts. smiley - ok The New Poetry Game has been sadly neglected of late - ever since Frankandsense suddenly disappeared, in fact. I'm glad I inadvertently brought it to your attention.

Glum is a special place where you are anything but GLUM created by the mighty bunnyfrog back in the dark ages of 2004, he has just recently returned and has set about knocking the old ganag back into shape, you are very welcome to join us but be aware of our strange ways, but if you have already had dealings with el D you are probably of the right mind set anyway......obviously GLUM is sorted based on Mornington Crescent but really that is just a means to an end......still haven't worked out your cluesmiley - erm

Thanks for the explanation, Sim. I don't know if having dealings with el D necessarily means I have the right mind set. He's a man of man of many parts, you know - some of which are rumoured still to work. smiley - biggrin

Maybe it's not a very good clue. Unfortunately, I've never been able to get hold of a copy of Stovold, so I may be infringing some rule or other that I don't know about.

It did occur to me that I might have worded it better, something along the lines of

Loses office preparing for testing (and very imminent) finale.

And welcome to W4AT! Hows things with you? I demand one fact about yoru person no matter how obscure, due to some outrageous nosy-parker issues on my part.
Anyway, I have been in Edinburgh, it was lovely, I heartily recommend it during festival season, the Tattoo was superb as were the many free shows.
Anyway, as to this tricksy clue....
I would like to say Clapham Common (follow my logic if you dare) but it doesnt feel right...
Kilburn Park also arouses me...but no...
...hmm...
Will try again when I'm more awake smiley - smiley

A fact about me? Well, my moniker is taken from quite a well-known (in some quarters) quote. If you can work out where it's from, it may help you solve the clue. Neil Harvey might help.

Curiouser and curiouser...

You are indeed in the right place W4T!

Oh, and you're quite right, some parts do still work - if only more would!
