I don't think it counts as esp when you go out ofo your way to put the thread back OT. But that's ok we see so few threads that will stay on topic for more than a few posts.

Most wonder in and out, depending on what people can think of to say.
Or they last for thousands of threads - ie Book club and Limericks, until people get bored of them.

I have seen that. Look at how many forums have multiple generations. I hava a forum at the church that crashes my browser if I have less than 96 megs memory.

It's just another set of forums. You are more than welcome to join, I have not turned down anyone yet. ATM The main page is just a little bit about the church and a list of the members.
