Getting into a locked car

When I have done the same silly thing, I get in by removing the outer rubber weather strip, it usually lifts off easily, and then useing a piece of stiff, bent wire, push the button up from the underside.
Alternatively, if you have the type of door lock which is in the middle of the door by the door opening handle, and have left the window ajar, I have used a thin strip of timber to push the lever on the passenger door to open it! Again, this works every time.
I live in Zambia, and, except during the rainy season, you always leave your window ajar, maybe inly a quarter of an inch, sorry, we've gone metric, 6mm, as if you don't, you get into an oven.
Rgds,
Lord Irish.
