If it was up to me I would leave in all of the "fags". In the US "have a fag" comes over as bloody hilarious in the middle of an entry about cooking. However you probably want to leave them out

One small typo- alchohol= alcohol.

I know that feeling- many's the time I've sat down after getting home from the pub, typed away furiously, that 'great!' then wobbled to bed. Got up in the morning and thought 'what the Hell is all that?!'
