Gnomon - time to move on Posted Aug 23, 2004
Have a look at the Writing-Guidelines. You'll see (in Guideline 12) that you are not supposed to mention yourself in the entry. So you'll have to do a bit of editing to cut all references to yourself out of it, including the e-mail address and the web address.

Only midly relevant but interesting point none the less...
Cats that have a hypoglycaemic episode have terrible behaviour problems - they turn almost psycho making them very difficult to handle. The day after, when they have been stabilized, they seem to have a sort of 'hangover'. Of course they can't tell me that - but I recognise the symptoms
Low blood sugar has a tremendous effect on the body, even losing the ability to make decisions or think straight.
I hope you make the changes Gnomon mentioned and work on this.
It would be great to link to the entry on Diabetes Mellitus A314920

Long time no see - anyone there?
A good basis for an entry but needs some work
Maybe this should be moved from PR?

Why is this in PR?
It is mildly confusing, has swearing and bad grammar, and contains more Americanised spellings than I could be bothered to count.
Plus the idea that Insulin turns glucose into energy is horribly flawed - Insulin causes liver and muscle cells to take up glucose molecules and turn them into glycogen molecules, thus lowering blood sugar levels. The glycogen is then turned back into glucose when the hormone Glucagon is released into the bloodstream by the pancreas, thus raising the blood sugar levels.
Energy is produced when glucose is metabolised into pyruvate, which is then used to drive a set of reactions which give off energy. This has nothing to do with Insulin or Glucagon.
It is advisable not to write about something if you don't know all the facts - more research is needed.
