It's really frustrating getting to the bottom of the page and then having to go back up to the top to get to the next page...

Are you talking about converstaion forums? The pagination tabs are both at the top and the bottom of each page

I was scrolling through the Ask H2g2 conversations to find one I'd posted in to get to my page. the pip things were only at the top.

So scroll down to find something interesting, nothing there, next page, sscroll back up again.

Me neither. Mozilla Firefox.

It might be that the conversations themselves have the pips, but the summary forum itself doesn't. (Firefox 3.6)

Yes - I've just worked that out.

Within conversations: pips at top and bottom
Within forums: pips only at top.

But what seems to be missing are the trees, or atoms, or whatever you call them. So you can see if you're in the last post in a thread, or if you find the post confusing you can click on "This is a reply to this post". Especially not knowing if you've got to the end, though.

I am very worried that there will be no frames.

Thanks for your comments re: the atoms, trees etc. We'll have a look to see if we can represent this functionality in the new design.
