TechnicolorYawn (Patron Saint of the Morally Moribund)

There was a missionary, living with a tribe of pygmies. As he was keen to fit in with village life, he live in a grass hut, just like the locals. In order to relieve the boredom (no electricity, TV etc) he had a hobby. He collected toilets. From all around the world. He had a huge toilet collection which he kept in the loft of his grass house. Over the years, the toilet collection got so large that one day, his roof caved in. The moral?

"People in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones"

That's a proper joke out of a proper book that I had when I was small. Any complaints that it's not a proper joke should be directed to Janet + Allan Ahlberg.
