I love the extra syllable. Sounds like my favourite non-word, 'technocological'.
You're right - why didn't I think of that? People don't use the words 'epiphenomenal' very often, nor do they talk about emergent properties. There are probably just too many other things to think about.
There used to be a character on US tv when I was a kid, a naval captain who always said, 'Gee, I love that kind of talk', whenever anybody used naval jargon. Too much Castaneda and Rudolf Steiner, probably.
