A Conversation for Updating on h2g2

Why not put the old version into a new conversation under the new entry?

That's not exactly user-friendly, is it? And I still don't see why anyone (except eds, sub-eds) would want to read the out-of-date version. There's been no clamour for that as a result of Mikey's updates, has there?

No clamour!... this is just a "what if" question!

Personally, I still think some form of official archived version would be the only solution to this problem. Other than that, delete it. As mentioned here, putting it into a conversation would render it unusable anyway, thus defying the point of archiving in the first place...

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've let this discussion slip over a number of weeks. I've now read all discussions here relating to the proposed updating scheme and I've responded in the forums of entry A760402 (an excellent entry summarising the themes raised here, put together by Frankie Roberto). It would be great to see you there and hear your thoughts on the next proposal.

Thanks
