Every Sunday night I took this pastoral series to heart. In the late '70s I wanted nothing more than to be a vet, all that wellie-wearing and splashing in puddles might have had something to do with it - as did the small furry animals that were cute and cuddly. When I was eight, little did I know that I'd have to do A levels in Biology (okay, not so bad), Chemistry (Mmmm) and Physics (I have trouble changing a plug) and probably Maths too (though now not bad at arithmetic after spending about five years working in bars adding up sums in my head).
No - nothing like my current job 
though I have just written an entry on Cheesman's gerbils A755778 so there's certainly a lingering interest!
