When it is referenced that Holts books are nothing like Pratchetts...do you mean that Holts are better, funnier, different prose of writing. Don't get me wrong. I love both of them and grab any book I can of thiers. Unfortunately Holts books are not easily found here in the States. I have to search for them or order on-line...whereas Pratchetts are in abundance over here. As I said, I thoroughly enjoy them both but I am curious to see how other readers feel about them since I can't find anyone else here who even knows Tom Holt as an author. Darn shame if you ask me. He's hysterically funny.

I've only managed to find one of his books and it was very good. It is a real shame.......

Sorry for taking so long- I missed this!
I meant totally different in their style and subject matter- Prattchet write comic 'classic' fantasy, elves, darwfs, trolls and vampires. Whereas Holt's work mixes our world with figures from myth, like the Flying Dutchman, and Saint George. I personally enjoy Holt more, I think Pratchett writes better stories, but Hoolt is funnier.
This entry is a work in progress- it will (one day) be a much longer, comprehensive entry- I keep coming back and doing little bits...

At this rate, it will be ready in two years' time! Other topics keep distracting me...

Just stumbled across this page as I was trying to make my personal space a bit more interesting, linking them to my favourite authors and all.
Anyway, Oxfordshire Waterstones have 'Grailblazers' that's the first Holt book I've been able to purchase! I've had to get my fix from the library, but even that has a dwindling supply, maybe I should complain
Hope you can add some more to the page, if you were to start a hootoo Holt fan club, I'd love to join.

It's third on the list. After the one currently in PR that I've ignored for three weeks, and after the net in a series on cult 60s TV. Then I'll get onto it. Probably
