Oh yeah, the Man Machine were legendary clubbers in their day, and I'm told still are.
After all, were else but the clubs would people like Afrika Bambataa have heard there music and thus launch techno on the world?
Look at the people who have been involved in re-mixing Kraftwerk material, all with e bands blessing-Francois Kervorkian (club DJ), Orbital and Underground Resistance to name a few. The whole Detroit Techno scene was virtually kick started by Kraftwerk, and they were regulars at Studio 57 as well.
All this and more hopefully coming soon to a project near you.

Ho ho ho, the controversy potential in that question...
I certainly wouldn't recommend Radioactivity, which is the one recommended by the official Guide entry, that's for sure.
Probably Trans Europe Express or Man Machine.
I think I'd go for TEE, but to be honest they all have their good points...
The Mix is a pretty good compilation, but to be honest it does sacrifice melody for rhythm, so it's a personal choice thing again.
