A Conversation for Mini
Death of Gina
Binky the Doormat Started conversation Jul 13, 1999
My first car was a little red mini, affectionately known as Gina. She was the most considerate car you could ever meet, only breaking down when I wasn't hurrying to an appointment. Unfortunately she succumbed to the rust monster and had to be put down, the poor love. Still, you never forget your first mini.
Death of Albert
Mrs Cake Posted Aug 24, 1999
My first mini was Albert. He was British Racing Green with a white roof and bonnet stripes. He had the number 7 on each door and on the bonnet. He was cruelly murdered on a hot July afternoon two years ago, when some maniac rammed into the back of him in Newquay, crunching him up to the doors. All I have left is his number plate - B313 YHD - but he was brave enough to donate his body parts to other Mini's in need, and so lives on.
