Well, this is very true . I'm sure agony aunts evolved from those interfereing relatives we all all have... the ones that say things like "They're not good enough for you." and "I knew that would happen!"

You get the feeling that perhaps it was their interferring that put the mockers on things anyway, and they do that just so they are right!
