heres another suggestion... how about a 15 point bonus for predicting the world cup winners with the first predictions and another 15 for correctly predicting the golden boot winner at the same time??

I'm willing to offer 5 points for predicting the winner with the first set of predictions, and double points for the final. So if anyone feels like posting who they think will win when they post their group round one predictions, there will be bonus points for it. Golden boot, I'm not sure about. You see, that is complete guesswork rather than educated guesses like the rest of the game, as we don't know
a) How many games each team will end up playing
b) If players will get injured
c) If players will get *picked*
d) Who'll be on or foff form.
You see, most of the predictions are made relatively close to the matches, so people can take into account things like form or injury.
Also, I'd prefer 5 to 15 points for the winner of the tournament as the game should remain largely based on the predictions of individual games, and these bonus points would unbalance that, so that someone could finish say 13 points behind the leader on individual match predictions, could make that ALL back by guessing say Brazil when the other guy had chosen Italy (for example).
So, to recap-
5 BONUS POINTS FOR GUESSING WHO WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP- GUESSES IN BY 1 AM 31st MAY.
DOUBLE POINTS SCORED ON CUP FINAL PREDICTIONS
NO BONUS POINTS FOR GOLDEN BOOT.
Clear?

If you follow the links from the entry, you can find the squad lists for all the teams. Alternatively, just look who everyone else has predicted and guess them. You can just leave your predictions as they are, and not earn points for scorers in those you haven't predicted, or , if the match ends 0-0 you'll get points for first scorer.

You can also predict who will win the tournament, before the first match, and if you're right you get 5 bonus points
