Hi there
I'd like to contribute to this entry.
If that's OK I'd like to try my hand at Gemini. Purely because it's my birth sign.

Hi again
Would you like to have a look at the Gemini entry and check it out. Let me know if there's anything else you think might improve it.

Very good entry. Only some remarks: With 'zodiac' I meant the time when the sun is within the constellation, not when astrologists say that you've been born as a Gemini or whatever. I must admit that the label is confusing and that I will have to make it clearer.

Are the translations of 'Castor' and 'Pollux' real translations or just their professions?

There are two 'Tejats' in Gemini. You mean 'Tejat posterior'.

Hi Cefpret smiley - smiley
Zodiac dates: Silly of me. I should have realised this was wrong. I've worked out the dates as best I can and altered the text, but I'm not sure if they are correct as I've never had to do this before. Would you check it out please.

Name meanings: You're right. most of the references I've seen have referred to Castor 'the horseman' and Pollux 'the pugilist'. I don't think that they are the literal translations of the names, as are the Arabic ones though I can't currently find a translation/meaning. I've deleted the meanings and kept the 'profession' in the main body of text. I'll keep looking.

I've also altered mu Gem. to Tejat Posterior as you suggest.

You could have asked, I have all dates here: 21.6.--20.7. Aren't there any such table on the Internet?

Do you still need something?

Hi Cefpret
OK I've amended the dates. There doesn't seem to be this particular piece of information available on the 'net, at least I couldn't find it. I like to try to work these things out for myself if I can but I have to admit it had me stumped. Perhaps you'd like to put them in a thread of their own for future reference?

No doubt there is plenty of interesting information to be found which I'll add if it comes up. Meanwhile the only thing I'm looking for at the moment is the literal interpretation of the names. I'll put that in if I find it.

By the way, are we limited to one constellation each or would you like us to have a go at another?

For star names and their meanings, see and .

And of course everybody can provide as many constellations as they wish.
