...but it did seem to me that it had absolutely nothing to do with The Mummy Returns (one feeble mention of 'the blood of the scorpion' just didn't hack it I'm afraid).

I think the hype has been a bit less intense here in the UK, at least the hype along those wavelengths of the media I regularly pay attention to. I turned up hoping for a fun, undemanding romp and pretty much got what I expected.

I completely agree.

I just thought they breeched their continuity more than a tad when The Scorpion King (That "The Rock" dude) wasn't half as mean as he was in The Munny Returns. You know? I mean, I wanted Brendan Fraiser to kill him in "Returns." I wasn't at all ready to actually like him in this prequell.

I suppose it's a bit like Star Wars, with the Anakin Skywalker thing... Blargh. Prequels make my head ache.

I said sorta the same thing in this week's Post - the first time we've both done the same film on the same week, methinks, but almost certainly not the last. Booked your ticket for the Clone Wars yet?

I don't think I can as yet. They're being really odd about ticket sales this time.

I'm deffinately going to be going opening night, and probably the midnight showing. Those are always the best.

I mean, it's Star Wars. Ya can't miss it. especially not when there's gonna be a pre-pubescent Boba Fett. Mmmmmm. Gotta lurve a man in Mandalorian armour, wot? smiley - winkeye
