We could invite Bryan Adams back to the pub afterwards.
*makes mental note to bring lots of s if this plan comes together*
*waves* Ummm importantness!!
GreyDesk Posted Jun 28, 2002
Why? Is Bryan partial to a bit of salad then?
*waves* Ummm importantness!!
You can call me TC Posted Jun 29, 2002
Then we really will have to have somewhere with a music licence.
*swoons at the thought of a hot sweaty evening with Bryan Adams*

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Jun 29, 2002
We could go to see Bryan Adams, but wear Ryan Adams T-shirts.....?
*waves* Ummm importantness!!
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jun 30, 2002
Or instead of a treasure hunt thingymy we could try and see who could be the firts person to sneak me backstage to Bryans dressing room... purely for research purposes!!!
*hums*
What exclamation marks?
*looks innocent*
OOOOOoooooooooooooooh maybe instead of winning h2g2 t shirts we could win Bryan Adams!!!
*waves* Ummm importantness!!
coelacanth Posted Jun 30, 2002
Well, I saw him being interviewed on TV last night and I'm not sure I would actually *want* to win him!
However... why not simply relocate the picnic/footie etc to St James's Park. London's oldest Royal Park and very pretty. It's easy to find, we could play spot the pelican and it's not too far of a staggering distance away from the pub at Picadilly for the evening.

What exactly was he like in this interview then? Sometimes they do come over pretentious and full of themselves, then you're put off for life.
I must admit that song "To love a woman" did make me suspicious. Anyone who writes that sort of trash must be a bit of a jerk. But the gutsier stuff is fine.

I've become much better disposed towards Bryan Adams since that interview. He obviously finds Brian Conley as odious and unfunny as I do.

Hi Tinkerbell,
I have spoken to the Royal Parks authority and they have told me that the gig will only take up about a third of the park and there is plenty of room.
Which is nice!

Hi Coelacanth,
St James' Park, while stunning, isn't actually big enough to play softball in. It is surprising small with lots of paths and sunbathers.
Oh and killer squirrels. I used to walk through it every morning on my way to work and you really had to watch out for those squirrels. You couldn't eat anything, otherwise they will run up your legs and mug you!
I once met Humphrey the Downing Street in St James' Park. This was just after the Bleuuughs had got in to power, so I guess Cherie had chucked him out.
