Minor keys are quite fun to play in, but that doesn't mean there are no sharps. In fact, every major key that has only sharps and/or naturals (and therefore no flats), has a relative minor key. Eg: Dmaj has 2sharps, but so has Bmin (d's relative minor).

Unless you're talking about harmonic and melodic minors.

Thank you. I don't usually play other people's stuff I only play my own. Probably because since I've needed to wear glasses I can't be bothered reading music and I'm a bit bored with the old fogeys

There was this movie about a piano player that was rather insane. he went into a restauant 'cos he saw a piano through their window. He asked if he could play, and then proceeded to astound them with the aforementioned piece. ever since then, it's been my favourite classical piece.

What's your all-time favourite contemporary song?

Now, I was thinking about the 'Flight of the Bumblebee'. I used to listen to it on my old Acorn computer, but now I listen to it on my laptop before I start writing scores

All-time favourite contemporary song? That's difficult. So many to choose from. There's some good stuff coming in at the moment. I'll tell you two of my favourite artists. James Blunt. Tom Waites.
