This is great. It really made me laugh!
I saw your postings in the unfaithfulness thread, and thought I'd drop by to find out more about who had posted them.
You can submit your entries to various places where more people will see them. This one isn't suitable for Peer Review, because that is for entries that people hope to get in the Edited Guide. But the Alternative Writing Workshop would love it!
All the best, and here's hoping you like it here and stay around.

Zorpheus - I'm so hip I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. Posted Apr 19, 2002
I agree, it was very funny, and profound.
Coming at it from another thought process...
What would they have used for material, no plastics remember.
Wood? - ouch! splinters
Metal? - that's just got to be cold. (not to mention they wern't that great at shaping small curved shapes out of metal yet.
Ivory? - did they use that then?
Just figured I share my thoughts.

There are certainly examples of ivory dildos from the orient.

Cold? No more so than some hard plastics, I would imagine. And it probably depends on the ambient temperature. And is cold actually a problem, anyway?

Working backwards up the thread, and in reply to Zorpheus now:
Highly polished hardwoods, particularly the oriental ones, but also european ones like beech or yew, would not splinter. Mind you they would probably also not be robust enough to contain a mechanism.
My money is on metal, possible cast, possibly beaten. And I still don't see cold as a problem, metal warms up.

I don't know. I'm too innocent . IS cold actually a problem, anyway?
(Still trying to figure out why anyone would want to do something that )

Um. No. Cold is not necessarily a problem. And in answer to both your questions: it depends on what feels good at the time.

Zorpheus - I'm so hip I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. Posted Apr 22, 2002
I'm guessing that the skill and tools needed for the minituration of the parts still wern't around yet to build it into a "useable" size.
