Kiwi biker - on two wheels in Godzone

Hi all,

I have just started writing a piece called On Two Wheels in Godzone which is at A734492 in the collaborative writing forum... any suggestions please to F57152?thread=179164

I want it to be a guide to touring the South Island on 2 wheels, which is a brilliant thing to do!

Whilst I'm here, can I join the club?

First Bike:
Honda CB125/XL125 hybrid - home made in NZ for about $200 (approx £60) with knobblies, wide bars with a low seat height and all the lights and indicators etc...and surprisingly street legal. Learned from lots of mistakes at sub 70km/40 mph.
Learned more from countless mistakes made during 3 years plus as a London Courier, most often at over 40mph...
Current bike:
GB500 the Honda single - I like singles , and twins - its too small for me but its got 2 wheels and they still go round, 14 years after I rode out of the showroom..
Virtual Bike:
Just one? OK... a Laverda or a Guzzli with XR600 suspension that chews up the black top and the dirt, goes up (and down) firebreaks like a scalded cat, *never* runs out of gas, never gets lost and never kills me...

OK, I'll welcome *any* ideas on my piece....
