... but I don't wanna start a new thread.
BZ, you can write down that mine is a Yamaha TW125 (and it is definitely NOT "of pure power" smiley - winkeye )
You might want to add a "first bike" category, that'd bring back good ol' memories to some (and, to others such as me, not-so-good memories : my Suzuki GN125 lasted me one week before it was totalled by a Subaru-toting a*****e who was on the phone and at the wheel... smiley - sadface wasn't such a great bike anyway...)

Good idea Eska smiley - smiley

Mine was an LTD250 Kawasaki that I bought with the insurance money from my first car accident. Bikes are much safer....

Fully agree with BadZen, I personally feel much safer without that useless metal cage around me smiley - biggrin.

First bike was a Yamaha RD400 a 2-stroke road bike about 10-15yrs old at the time I got it. She served me well for about 6-8weeks til I met the aforementioned Big-Blue-Bol'd'or. As for a 'dream' bike I cant limit myself to just one smiley - winkeye there are so many nice machines in all classes it wouldnt be fair to pick just one....

safer ??

Ah well, I am biased by my bike accidents (yes, that's a plural ; after 1 yeah and a half riding, I think it's too much smiley - winkeye )...

Well having been on two wheels most of my life, yeah I've "bit the bitumen" (that is failed to remain seated upon an motorcycle...) a few times too - I still prefer to ride smiley - biggrin

Safer indeed. When I'm in a car, I can feel the weight and slow-responding of the steering...on a bike, I'm much more part of the machine, and can change course and stop so much quicker. I've been in at least 3 close-calls where if I was in a car I would have been dead, but because I was on a bike I could flick around the car that was reversing out onto a 100klm/hr highway just around a blind corner, for example.

I've been road-surfing myself, but it's the way I feel smiley - smiley

Could not agree more BadZen. Cages is killers. smiley - cheers. FTW.

Q. What's the difference between a serious car accident and a serious bike accident?

A. They know where to find the body in a cage. smiley - laugh
