Have you had the ceremonial burning of L plates yet?

(p.s. I told my folks I had failed mine on the 3-point turn when I took it. And they believed me...)

Thankfully it was a fairly uneventful ride. One little old lady pulled out of a roadside parking spot without looking - but as I'd seen her I was trudling along slowly waiting for her - extra brownie points from the examiner.

Oh and there was a very lost foreign lorry getting stuck in one of the back residential streets.

I haven't burnt any L plates as I was using the riding schools bike. However we did a ceremonious run back along the Wye Valley Road (gorgerous stretch of senic rolling bends) without using the radio and headphones - great fun!

It's a lovely road - I drive it on a regular basis to get back to the parents. When you know it, its a great drive.

As for a bike I'm waiting until I've got somewhere to keep one before I even think about getting one.

I did the test so that my theory certificate didn't run out.

Congratulations Odo!! I remember when I passed my test, the ride back home was great. My buddy and I actually stopped off half way home, got off our bikes and jumped up and down with excitement before continuing home! So, I know exactly how you're feeling.

Keep us posted when you get your own bike and a home to put it in, and once again - WELL DONE!
