All you need is old newspapers, flour and water.
You can choose the mould you want to use from anything plastic or even a blown up balloon.
Mix flour and water to make a runny paste ( like wallpaper paste) and then soak strips of newspaper in it. Apply these to the outside of the mould and keep doing this (overlapping the strips) until you have about 1/8 inch (.25cm thickness). Leave to dry and then decorate. You can cut with scissors to make exactly the shape you want.

I love papier Mache!
I once made a whole set of planets with the kids at nursery for a space corner and i think most of the glue ended up all over me and the children- but they love it

I helped a little boy make a castle by using his castle shaped sandcastle bucket. It worked really well and it could be decorated to look like a monster lair.
