Another entry in my ongoing attempt to expand the Hitchhikers Guide to Georgia. This is a cute park south of Atlanta, Georgia.

Last year we traveled to a lot of spots in Georgia. Hopefully, I'll do several more through the summer as we take more of our day trips.

Nice little place entry.

Is the lake natural or was it formed by damming? I might like a bit more meat on the falls, but it can run without it.

Hi, Two-Bit!

I think this is a nice little entry. I think you could say a little more about the habitat and what you would see on the nature trail - is it woodland? if so, is it worth a special visit for spring flowers or autumn leaves? what wildlife is there? etc etc.

I spotted two typos:
'The park has boat rentals are available,' looks lile you changed your mind in the middle of a sentence.
'On restaurant to try' should be 'one'.

Anyway, I like it, and I hope it's on its way to Edited Status!

Okay. Virtually every park I go to is wooded, so I forgot to mention that. I like the desert, but I haven't been to one in years. I don't know much about trees though. Basically I can tell you that there are ones with pointy needles and ones with leaves. The oens with leaves seem to turn brown and lose their leaves occasionally.

Just a mention that it's woodland, then, would do. What about animals? The range of wild animals in your forests is something else Americans often take for granted.

I didn't see any animals aside from some young people who were building a bridge over a small stream. I like nature, but I have no great desire to study it. I just like walking through the woods. What interests me is how humans developed the area with the technology of the 19th Century. I'm more into history than biology.

I"m thinking about going back the park thes week to pick up some more details about the histroy of the place.

I was surprised at how industrial my favourite state park with a waterfall was in the 1800s...

Weird how we've gone full circle with some of our natural resources.

As our population increases, the number of towns we have decreases. My county has four incorporated cities now, but it used to have a dozen or more towns. Many of them disappear without a trace. Some still have some remains. Some of them are just a forgotten building.
