Smudger, what a lovely article. It brought tears to my eyes, but also a happy feeling to know that your friend has found his window on the world. I bet his grandson is happy too!!

It is lovely when modern technology brings all the generations together. The Internet is much maligned in some quarters, and like most things it can be a force for good or evil.

It was lovely to read of the benefits reaped by you and your friends, proving that you are never too old to learn and enjoy life.



Oh, and btw, I might be joining you on as a regular soon, if I can get my act together

Yea! my mates on the other site are chuffed that is now able to chat with us all the time now
In fact since that story, another of the regulars has now gone mobile by buying a lap top. He is still working in Mine Removal and sends us reports form his travels. He is presently in the desert removing hundreds of mines that were left over from the Gulf war

I'm glad you liked the story, and as you will now know its great to get feed back form them once they have published in
