Women and men

I don't know but wish I did so that I could stuff a particularly old and smelly sock in their mouth!
Is that "boy" as in temperamental, prone to tantrums when unable to get own way and sulks a lot?
As for a "thing of beauty"...
*Pictures her hubby and shakes her head*
Nah!

Erm... Keats wrote:
'A thing of beauty is a joy forever
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness'
which comes from Endymion I
Not to be confused with:
'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,
That is all you need to know on earth,
and all ye need to know.'
which comes from 'Ode to a Grecian Urn'
(Old joke What's a Grecian Urn?... about 5 drachmas a week )
shazz... who loves the poetry of John Keats

*Is still wondering where her book of quotations has gone and is now becoming suspicious that she might have loaned it to Shazz*
Who is this Greek bloke named Urn then Shazz?

Post Team Posted Mar 24, 2002
He partners another Greek bloke called 'Erik Thessalonika' Gwennie
I carry most quotes from Keats close to my heart... no prompting required!

I possibly had the advantage of having the poetry of Keats as required reading at school... not everyone is so blessed.

Gazing up at the row of football posters on my living-room wall, I tend to agree with the bit about a man being a boy forever. But a thing of beauty... I wish!

I vaguely remember that my English tutor did attempt to arouse my enthusiasm with regard to poetry, but my mind was probably on higher things, or should I say my mind was high "with" other things...
