Is there anything you are qualified for and do you have certificates or written testimonial to prove it?

Doug Dastardly Posted May 22, 1999
Oh I'm sure I must be qualified for something! I got 2 a levels! One in geography and one in computer science... so that means I can program a computer in a shanty town in peru!

I got two A levels as well. Business Studies and Eng lit so maybe I should be a book seller or something. i only got VSE grade 3 Geography (I got Cornwall & Devon the wrong way round on the map during the exam!)

This talk about grade A levels is giving me a headache. I think I'll take a nap.

Crash I'm in. Sad, Sad, Sad, What are we doing up this late. In the days of the Cb, me interupting or listening on the side would be earwigging. I have suggestion coming up. be back in a minute. vegiman

I wouldn't worry about the geography. I always remember going to a careers do, and under the list of jobs you can get for Geography there was dustmen! I'm not sure why they wouldn need to know about the exports and imports of peru...

I have waded through all the postings on this chatup line oops I mean chatline. I think you are right a chat line page would be great. Why wait for the earth editor. Create our own pages . They could be called CHAT LINE 1/2/3/4 Etc. --- What do you think. vegiman

Ginger The Feisty Posted May 22, 1999
Would they be really confusing though? Whenever we get more than 2 people chatting we start to lose the thread a bit!

Doug Dastardly Posted May 22, 1999
Was there one to start with? I'm not sure there was! I'm still shocked anyone would want to read though the whole of this thread! . When you get your email working we can move all this rubbish to the yahoo club that's been setup, where it won't fill up the h2g2 servers!
You did it!
vegiman:-) Posted May 22, 1999
I must admit it is a slow way of doing it, but as h2hg2 was designed to collect information for future publications, I doubt if Earth Editor wants this type of thing going on. It would cramp their style. If we set our own chat lines, at least they would know which pages to ignore. Vegiman PS I thought you were off to bed. I am going now.

Doug Dastardly Posted May 23, 1999
Oh yeah, I certainly did! How about you? It was really hot here last night and I did a lot of tossing and turning before I managed to get to sleep! I think that's probably why I feel so fuzzy headed today. I'm really not with it at all!

Ginger The Feisty Posted May 23, 1999
Yeah they were quite pleasant. It was pretty close here to and my hayfever is really bad at the moment so I couldn't move my head this morning it hurt so much. It feels better now I've had a kip though!
