Club nighs - first para I assume you mean nights.
List should also include election posters as I'm embarking on that WAR on Sunday. Fighting for space on prominent lamposts.
If you do wish to include Election posters you should point out that these are very heavily legilated for. The time they can be up is restricted. There has to be references to who is promoting the candidate ie the agent and who published it. Also the number will in the UK be restricted because of budget restriction place on the candidate.

Is fly posting illegal? Is that why they are removing the article?

You could maybe include some stuff about how fly posting is illegal and that permission should be sought before putting posters anywhere. You could also mention those great big advertising posters, and the ones on the revolving billboards where several posters are put up in thin strips on revolving thingies (don't know the right term, but hell, it ain't my entry ), so that every time the thingy turns you get a complete poster displayed.
can't help more than that - the guide can't be seen to be condoning illegal activities...

Definitely not useless. It's a very well-written article.
What you need is a whacking great disclaimer on the front of this - something like:
"fly-posting is illegal and is not condoned by H2G2 or the BBC. Only put posters up in areas where you have permission or that are open to all for the publicising of community activities."
Then you leave the rest of the article as is, removing any bits which are too blatantly illegal. That should do it.

Darn, I was looking at this thread in 'my conversations' all day today at work, I was just waiting to get home and contribute something. Now I find it's hidden
Oh well, I'll just mooch around here until it comes back.

Interesting. And I think the bones of a good entry, provided it gets passed the BBC's lawyers.
How about including something about how Councils have dealt with the problems of illegal flyposting. For example threatening the venues producing the adverts with prosecution. Or another example I've heard of is that the licensing committee make it hard for a venue to get its entertainment license renewed.
Also some Councils have established proper areas where they will allow flyposting, this gives them an excuse to come down hard on those individuals who put up posters elsewhere.

Ah ha - now it is back again I can have a proper look
This is interesting but needs quite a bit of work to make it ready for the EG (assuming your disclaimer is enough). There are a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes so you might want to go through it again carefully to see what you can clear up. The following is an example:
"The reason for this is because, people will paste over you posters regardless of you avoiding there's."
Should be:
"The reason for this is [that] people will paste over [your] posters regardless of you avoiding [theirs]."
The rest of that paragraph definitely needs to be rewritten - starting a sentence with "So..." isn't good grammar and words like "gonna" aren't appropriate.
This is a good start though

I have to admit I found the title a bit misleading (enjoyed the actual entry though) maybe it's all those years of living in rented accomadation made bearable by putting up lots of posters but for some reason I was expecting an entry about putting posters up inside a house (spirit levels, drawing pins and blue tak all appeared in my mind).
I wonder if it would be easy to make the title a bit more specific? Or am I just odd
