Gnomon - time to move on Posted Mar 6, 2002
There's no harm in having this sort of thing as a Guide Entry. But I don't think it is suitable for the Edited Guide. Edited Guide Entries are supposed to be interesting and a good read, not just a table of facts.

No problems.
You obviously know a fair bit about the subject-why not do a guide entry (though I would check first that isn't one already),on the series itself?
The creators, the stars that sort of thing. The Avengers was a great tv series and certainly deserves to be in the guide.

It's great to have new and excited people around. Have a look at some Edited Guide Entries. Click on the Front Page button and see the five entries that are on offer today. THat's the sort of thing that we want in the Edited Guide. But you can put anything you want in the unedited Guide as long as it is not slanderous, offensive or advertising.

One of my favourite all-time shows. As it stands, I don't think this is ready for submission to the edited entry, but it's an excellent first step (and if you're new and enthusiastic, then all the better)!
Episode guides do tend to take a lot of work. For a start, each episode should be capitalised correctly and placed within single inverted commas (eg: 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station'), as this makes it easier to see where each episode title ends (especially towards the end where the titles start getting really mad).
There is some debate as to the exact structure of the seasons, as it's not quite as clear cut as this entry might suggest.
Might I suggest you take a look at a superb Avengers fan site?:
http://theavengers.tv/forever/guide.htm
This site gives you pretty much everything you need to know about the show. In fact there's possibly too much. :o-)
There's also Patrick MacNee's official website:

This is exactly the kind of topic that you could spend quite a while researching and reap the rewards. There are a number of different Avenger TV series to focus on (The Early Years: Dr Keel/Cathy Gale/Venus Smith; The 'Golden' Era: Emma Peel/Tara King/Mother; The New Avengers: Mike Gambit & Purdey) as well as (I suppose) a cursory mention of the film.
Above all though, don't lose heart. It would be great to see a fuller entry on this, and I hope this info might help you towards that.
Best wishes,
Jimster

I agree with a lot of waht has been said above there are two ways to progress with this either
1) turn it into a entry on the Avengers this is not yet a edited entry but there are a couple in progress it appears A705683 and A739451 i notice one of these is by you. You can then include thsi list as an appendix at the end of the entry. Or get together with Hoovooloo U114627 and do a combined entry
2) turn it into a entry which traces the plotline changes through the series highlighting certain key episodes on the impact they have on the outcome of the series.
As this stands as has been said before it's jsut a list and even taht's needs work as Jimster points out, but take your enthusiam nad make it into something good.
