At the risk of pushing a rival site, tvtropes has a magnificent entry on Hawkwind pointing out things line the vast number of personnel who have been on stage with the ever-present Dave Brock during the band's life; the unfeasibly large number of drummers the band has been through and how this qualifies HW for the spinal Tap Hall of Fame; Mrs Dave Brock's status as the band's Yoko Ono, and spin-off bands like Underground Zero.... worth a look!
