Hmm.. yeah, I got alabaster, too , Brownfurby!
From my experience, javascripts work fantastically well with webTV systems, but when you come to pop up windows, they just fall out with you

aka..against my better judgement..(believing i shouldn't 'mess' with things i don't understand)..i tried your suggestion yesterday..i changed 0000 to 1111 & since then have been unable to access any interactive serices..due 6050 whereever i try to goto on interactive..waiting for TW to sort it..(i'm on via pc in library)i appriciate you were trying to help..but..i recomend you don't recomend doing that to anyone else..

Well, it worked for me - If it coincides with disruption of your service I can't be held responsible for loss of service, he says, in his somewhat laywer-esque tone
Sorry about that, I can't see why that would happen in reference to the 1111 thing - all it does is refresh the box.. In fact, the only code you need it 4321 (tv, guide, int, fav) to do a complete reeboot - although I advise you take that one with caution, and as a last resort, because once when I did that, it was stuck in updating permanently and they had to replace the box, and probably burn it on a bonfire..
In my experience of 15 telewest boxes in one year (yup! No lie!) That has NEVER ever happened - And 6050 appears when it can't access the network - service problems - not internally (the box) - Believe me, I use broadband blueyonder, through the Telewest TV/FM/BROADBAND network (those green boxes outside) - I know how bad the service is...
Anyway, sorry about that but it shouldn't have happened..

i hope to have my pc back soon..repaired & with a modem..then..i'll be looking at options for internet servers..i will not even concider using TW....

internet servers?!
A server is a big computer which stores info which shows on websites
Do you mean ISPs? Internet Service Providers? Like Blueblunder, or ET?

On Telewest, you can press a few hidden buttons to get it to do stuff.
There are four in line buttons on its front interface, the top counting as a number "4", working down to "1" and the RIGHT Cursor button is used as a zero ( 0 ).
These numbers can make up codes used to refresh the box's memory, or clear it out

You have to write down the short code - it's not that much - just Caption (with caption)
or
(no caption)
is all you need

Oh I dont know aka, you seem to have a few charachters of user name left, Im sure you could say lots more if you really tried
Speaking of which, may I congratulate emmily on her poetic user name
My username is normally a haiku - I guess it will revert back to being so pretty soon, once the guru novelty has worn off
