Well, although I personally think this entry contains the truth, I thought it would still be best to submit ti the AWW.

Hi there Demetrius,
Thank goodness somebody has got hold of the new deadline at last!
I've felt I was living on borrowed time ever since Aug 1999 when everything was set for a dramatic end to the world as the shadow of the moon was cast across vast tracts of the planet. I figured the sun would just never reappear and that after a suitably nerve-wracking period of unexpected darkness, the four beasts of the Apocalypse would surge forth from the black-hole that used to the the sun and scourge humanity for a thousand millennia, transforming the Earth into hell itself.
You can imagine my disappointment when the various celestial bodies simply carried on in their usual inexorable way without so much as a whisper of horsemen, flames, brimstone... not even a mighty and resounding voice from the heavens warning of impending doom!
Anyway, now I know what to expect, I can stop worrying and learn to love the Apocalypse. Ta,
Seeya

I dunno, Spiff. A432776 makes a pretty good case for another date, a few years later than this one...
