Good points about Banbury -
Market in the square on Thursday and Saturday ( good for plants).
Cheap and easy parking (compared to Oxford).
Castle Quay shopping centre.
Morrisons supermarket

what in the h--- have you done to Banbury, i was stationed near there in the mid fifties with the british army,found it to be a great place,spent many a great day in Bambury,around the square/Banbury cross, and had a good time at night in the Buck Bell a pub in the square,i read in the early seventies that the two best places to visit in england,to visit where Chester and Banbury, i was in Chester some eight years ago and found it busy but plesant, being originaly from Liverpool,i used to know Chester very well, i have been in Canada nearly 50 years,i consider myself a Canadian Brit,

I live in nearby Shipston and it's not all bad Banbury...Just don't go there on a Friday or Saturday night though, at one point it used to be the date rape capital of the UK!
