Banbury

At one time in its Twentieth century history Banbury was renowned for having more pubs per head of population than any other town in the country.
And there you have it - all there is to do in Banbury is drink or take large amounts of illegal drugs - something the residents do with great relish. Consequently - the streets on a Friday and Saturday night are full of a mix of shipped in townies and brums and inbred yokels all severely inebriated and itching for a fight.
Of course, this is in no way exceptional, but remember - there is nothing else to do in Banbury. Although in many ways a quaint market town it is best avoided at all costs.
The Oxford Canal flows through Banbury - as do major train routes and it is served by the M40.
Initially famous for its market, in the 1850's Banbury was the main centre for the manufacture of agricultural machinery.
Not much else can be said about the town - tho most famous Banberian being the notorious paedophile Gary Glitter.
Somewhere to go if you want to get violently drunk or to score some unpleasant narcotics of dubious quality or attend a bland business conference in your nasty shiny two piece suit and your ugly Mondeo.
Interestingly, many people settle in Banbury from other areas and all of them hate it but profess to being somehow "trapped" there.
Avoid at all costs.
