h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Weather the first half hour. It will get better.

There were 2 problems I thought could really hurt Episode 1: the lack of Harrison Ford, and the death of Jim Henson. The death of Henson turned out to be the big (and I mean freaking huge) downfall of this movie. The character of Jar Jar probably has Henson rolling in his grave just as I was squirming in my seat whenever Jar Jar delivered a line.

Note that there are commercials aring in America after week 2. That is never a good sign. Usually a movie that is doing as well as it was expected to waits a month or two to start advertising again. The second round of ads only come when the interest starts to drop off.
