Although it's in the proccess of being booked by others, it looks like I'm now getting 4 days in Amsterdam at the RAI. If your not too far away I'll try and catch up with you. I'm there (hopefully) from teatime 5th October untill early evening on the 8th.

what will you do in RAI?

Listening to very brainy people giving lectures and wondering why I bothered to pack mine, I suspect.

There's a big gas symposium and I am to be the Companys gas Tsar, so to speak.

If it happens it'll be my first but I prefer Holland to Siberia, Columbia, Nigeria and all the other dodgy places they had me down for.

At least I've been there once, briefly.

2 hours by public transport is acheivable, me thinks. We'll just have to see how youe feel at the time. Don't worry, I won't take offence if you're not up to it.

Don't worry Pheloxi, I figured for 2 hours each way. Secretary has rung me whilst out with the dogs. concerned that landing at 0830 for a meeting at 1200 and hotel in between is too tiring, she has booked a flight to land 1530 on the 5th. Nice lady, typical (and very genuine) scouser.

So if it goes ahead, I'll try and visit either evening of the 5th or morning of the 6th. Assuming that you are well. Coincidently I have a very close french friend who has sever diabetes and our visits depend very much on his health.

often mornings are betterm because would less nervous going back last train would be between 10pm and 11pm local time.
