I realise that. I was being pedantic for some reason... Ah yes, because I'm good at it.

pedantry is an evil thing that i suffer from far too much:
'do you have the time?'
'yes thanks'

I once saw someone, in a pub surprisingly, ask "Do you have the time" of another customer who relied "Yes thanks." The chap then asked a second question "Does your face hurt?" Where upon he hit the pedant.
Strange the things you see in pubs eh?

That's a good answer. NOt that I'd condone that sort of thing, but it might have been good to watch.

Oooh, you won't let me get away with anything! But no, I wouldn't clout someone for being an unfunny smarta**e, I'd be more likely to do a side-splitting gesture or something.

It's good to see you're evolving as a human being.

I just have to put up with it... I mean, I'm sure I've heard "almost" all of them before... (that "does your face hurt" one is smashing... ) But unless you just *grin* and sarcastically laugh... You end up with a headache through trying to resist them... There is of course the "responding with ones that ARE actually funny" responce.
