I used to love working in pubs, except for those odd occassions when you got the totally annoying, aggressive idiots in. Really spoil a good job they do.

The Fish

smiley - ok

smiley - cool Well have a safe journey, and I'll see you there. smiley - biggrin

I used to w**k in a shop, and I know what you mean... Occasionally you'd just get REALLY rude or weird people either asking you the strangest of questions, or just being really annoying. And just putting you in a bad mood for the rest of the day... smiley - erm

Ah, but pub work is different from shop work, in a shop you don't (usuall) assist people in gettting into worse states.

Uncle Heavy [sic]

why not call off sick and say your gran/dog/budgie has died. then you can stay for the evening and still get the opportunity to watch other people get drunk without being paid for the priviledge?

now i come to say that, maybe its not such a great idea...

Or, you could drink so heavily yourself that you won't care what other people are doing.

Hmm... *has an idea*

Sorry guys, I won't be coming. I think I might just sit at home and drink myself into a stupor. Save me the train fare.

(note: Mr T is lying)

hmm all your ideas sound good....

but seeing as i'm typing this after the meet i expect you can guess that i didnt go..

im very upset 'cos my good friends laura (known as VIP on this site) went and she sed it was fabulous and i cant believe she went ropund terrosing reading without me!!! smiley - cry

i went to w*ork and it was crap and really busy and then really quiet so i got throughly bored and i had to work with 'dippy' dave (no prizes will be awarded for huess why we call him that!) so i didn't really have one of the best saturday nights of my life, although i do enjoy my job forn a vast majority of the time.

you guys will have to organise another reading meet and as long as i have 4 or 5 weeks notice ill be able to get that night off work ...ok???

i hope im not on holiday on a beach somewhere when the summer meet is or i'll be really upset... smiley - cry

ive never been to souhhampton before.. i might have been once or twice to catch a ferry but that dont really count cos you drive straight to the dock and onto the ferry without even seeing southampton!!!
