You're more likely to get answers from Ask h2g2 than from the Writing Workshop, as very few people look in here. Don't put your article into Peer Review. That is definitely not the right place for it and you will only make people cross.
The problems you highlight for Sellafied about the effects of an attack probably apply to any nuclear station. Without nuclear power, we have the big problem: what do we do when the oil, coal and gas run out? At the moment, most power is generated from these and nuclear. When they run out, we'll be left with nuclear power and renewable resources such as wind, wave, hydro and bio-mass. None of these generate very much power as yet. If we are not prepared to accept nuclear power, we will have to survive on about 1 tenth the power we use now, which means a return to a pre-industrial style economy, with most people without electricity. Possible, but acceptable?

The Moderately Strange Cornice Posted Mar 17, 2002
I was at the Sellafield Visitor Centre not long ago. The guide made an excellent point. All the people who work at the plant live in the local area. If there's a leak, they're the first to suffer (and they suffer the most). Therefore, the workers do everything in their power to make the plant as safe as possible.
Working at Sellafield, they almost certainly know the risks. But they're willing to take them. Perhaps nuclear fission plants aren't so bad, so long as they're managed properly.
