Aggies

The word "Aggies" is best known as a name referring to students and alumni of Texas A and M University (formerly Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas). They consider the term "Aggie" to be a favorable distinction, as do Agricultural students everywhere. So do we. They are, after all, the salt of the earth and their beauty is inherent.

However to our ears, the term 'Aggies' is more resonant with rock and mineral terms like 'aggregate' and 'aggot' which is sorta like 'ingot' and 'carat'. These are all gemoligist and mineralogist terms and speak to the value and quality of rare gems.

Rare gems indeed. To be an 'Aggie' means to have a shining, glowing, radiant aura (as a sparkling gem oughta), to be among the best and brightest of the articles and entries unearthed by the Committee for Alien Content.

AGG/GAG/CAC is pronounced just like Popeye's laughter.
