BigAl's 'Ides of March' has the record as far as I know. From 'Your Entries been picked' post in the afternoon, to front-paged the following day.
This one had its 'Your Entries been picked' post on the 21st and front-paged 23rd, and it'll be there until the new year

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
