A very interesting article, with referneces from around the world. I was aware of the various traditions in Europe, but it was good to learn about those from other parts of the world.

I also enjoyed reading your article. It was well written with lots of background refrences. It was intresting to learn that part of christmas is related to nordic mythology. I like that you included the cultures of many countries which helped make it an informed and balanced entry. Nice work! Good luck getting into the Edited Guide!
