Absolutely! It was great watching it. Wish the webcams hadn't frozen on Thursday though...unless it was deliberate and you brought in 200 extra people. The microlite just seemed to be in pieces on Wednesday and finished on Friday.
Best wishes for the first flight and the next project
Raphael

Thanks for the congratulations. Yes what a pity about the missing pics - a line problem that took longer than it should to sort out.
The last few videos of the build are being edited as I post this, so keep an eye out for them.
There is now a whole lot of paperwork and testing to be done before the plane is allowed to fly which gives me time to start thinking about where the plane will carry me!
Congratulations!

Hi Raphael,
As you'll see from the films I'm now editing, there was a real flurry of activity in the last 48 hours. Still recovering from those 18 hour days, and I was just filming!!!
I've just got ADSL, so for the first time I can properly enjoy the films in the comfort of my own home!!
All the best,
Sacha

Well done Richard, Terry, Tom, Kate and all the rest who worked on the bird. I was there last Friday and I find it slightly amazing that you did so much between then and Saturday to finish it!
Now I want to see it fly - and especially to watch it fly 'home' and into the nest that will be built for it.
Get some sleep, you guys!
Congratulations!

Wait till you see the ending!!
Cutting it right now and the film should be online by end of play on Wednesday. Very dramatic night time shots and the elation of the team is uplifting to watch.
It all bodes very well for future missions.
All the best,
Sacha
Congratulations!

Good Job everybody. We really wish we could have been there to help. You all did an awesome job! It seems like we have a challenge at hand now. Maybe we will start a 360 project of our own. We couldn't be more proud of you all. We can't wait to see both planes fly.
Sacha, We can't wait to see the video, the next best thing to being there!
Congratulations

Hi Troy and Kathi Jo,
The film of the last day is now finished and will be going online (hopefully) on Thursday. It's six and a half minutes of pure magic.
The ending is wonderful - none of us could have predicted how superbly it would end, with the aeroplane out in the clear night sky, illuminated by the glare of car headlights, wild whoops filling the chiily air.
I'm sure you'll love it when you see it. I got all excited re-living the moment during the edit.
I also have a cool technical type film with Jeremy, the Boffin. Interesting even if you're not into electronics...
I'm also going to put together some titbits from the two week build - the kind of moments as a film maker that I normally end up not having a suitable gap to put into the main film. With the Net this isn't an issue. Think you'll enjoy Tom's secret workshop confession!!
Must get back to the cutting room. All the best,
Sacha
