You haven't mentioned the interesting history of Barnoldswick from its viking founder Barnulf through to eviction of the Monks who could not convert the inhabitants to their way of thinking. Don't forget the Rolls-Royce factory the originator of the RB series of jet engines and test ground for Frank Whittles pioneering work.
The countryside hereabouts is stunning despite occasional bleakness Barnoldswick lies at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland.
Believe me Barnoldswick is a much nicer place to live than some of the Manchester suburbs despite its boozers.

hiya friend,
i just come back from pendle... lancashire witch country..... it's beautiful there..... been many times over the years, but not been for years till last weekend, had to again this, as we now got transport...... so peaceful n tranquil..... i love the area.... xxxxxx
