Tacsatduck-beware the lie
Intro-duck-tion to me.
I am one of the millions that live in the tiny town of New York City. I work for the phone company so most of my working day is comprised of surfing the Internet and trying to look busy. I have a far below average IQ but wield it like a true champion. I find that as an introduction to myself I have never really introduced my self. So Hello my names Donald and my number is 5 that's it 5. Nice to meet you (fill in name here). As far as names go Donald is pretty nice except for all those crazy references to that crazy Disney character of an enraged duck. I do not wear a sailor suit with no pants and do not get mad at the drop of a hat (I do get mad at the drop of some trash especially if I am in a park and some person litters). All in all or some in some I make it through my days knowing that tomorrow will come weather we want it to or not so just shut up and have some fun and try not to get caught.
My history
My checkered past. Hmmm what can I tell you the reader without totally embarrassing myself. I have lived in many different places and will probable move quite a few more times before I just give up and curl up into the fetal position. I was born in San Diego, CA. My family moved when I was two to VA. We moved again when I was 6 from VA to this place called Jacksonville, NC. Interesting place to grow up. J'ville is the home of Camp Jejune, USMC base and a few others for that matter. Yes growing up in a military town is a different experience than many people imagine. I will not go into many details right now but I might write a little something on it latter. Most everything I can just skip here except that in High School I met this little shmuck you might have seen posting all around h2g2 by the name of Aaron. I must say he has been a good friend for many years now. I hope to still be friends with him (even though he is a little shmuck) for a very long time. Another High school friend to find their way to H2G2 is the always lovely Jen. With the growning number on J'ville people on this site look out. When we graduated we all took o diffrent paths they went to college, to become some of those learned people, and I went into the Army, to be one of those wearing camo jumping from plane REMFs. My path in the Army went something like this:
Fort Jackson, SC to Fort Gordon, GA to Fort Benning, GA, to get this Fort Bragg, NC. Yes join the military see the world or for me join and get sent right back where you came from. I had a lot of fun, met a lot of good people, and learned a lot about life, the universe, and everything. If you are one of those people who are thinking of joining the military I would recommend it. Don't just take my word for it ask some of the people at the barracks about their experiences and if you are a veteran you should stop in and let yourself be known. After I got out of the Army I took this crazy job in NYC for Sprint a telephone company. Like I said before I end up having a lot of free time so I post a lot during work hours. That's about it for history cus if I keep going on its going to be the present and then I would just say I am typing.
Where I am now
I work in NYC and live in Dobbs Ferry up in Westchester County if that means anything to ya. I moved just down the street so it looks like I will be in Dobbs Ferry for a while yet. If you happen to make it up into the NYC area let me know and I'll buy ya a .

Things I like to do
Figured I list some hobbies and places on H2G2 that I like.
darts (love to play friend got me hooked. If you are in or near NYC let me know and we can head on out.)
Pool (I don't play all that great but it's another of those killer games)
Running (used to be in it more and trying to get back in. Trying to get ready to run a marathon with Aaron)
Rock Climbing (have not done much sense I moved to NY but still love it)
Having really off the wall conversations at a place called the Louisiana Cajun in Dobbs Ferry.
I must say that I am a big fan of the questions only thread where the conversation goes in so many directions with out ever (well hardly ever) making a statment. Questions only.
Want to know who has been posting like mad for the last 24 hours. Well check out the stats page
Things I don' care for
Yes I smile and laugh all the time. I am usualy a pretty cheerful person but don't let that fool you. I have things and people I don't like. Here is a short list.
I have this thing against tourists. I have never lived in a place that so many people visited before and I must say that tourists are pains in the butt. They make it almost impossible to get anywhere in the city in a reasonable time because they make subway cars even more crowded. The other thing they do that irritates me is they never walk with a purpose they just lolly gag and look up at buildings. They are always in groups spread out across the sidewalk so you cannot get past.

People who litter. Please pick up your trash and take care of it.
Message of warning to all concerned
Do not take any of my writing too seriously. I know I don't. Be prepared for bad spelling and grammar. Punctuation is the devil so sometimes I just skip it entirely. If you have a problem with anything I post let me know and we can discuss it. Have fun, be creative, and don't worry about looking foolish.
Contacting me off of H2G2
If you would like to contact me off of H2G2 you can Email me at [email protected]. Please include H2G2 in the subject line of the email. It might help if you put your H2G2 handle so I know who I am talking at. I also use MSN IM. Oh I also have started my a Photo Album not much there yet but you can check it out at My Yahoo Photo Album.
