does this column not get a spot in the regular feature side of things. it seems regular to me, and it's getting better.

We have discussed this before FABT

The Post is thinking of doing away with the 'Features/Regulars' headers to the columns. Some weeks we have almost all regulars and other weeks hardly any, so it can lead to a very unbalanced appearance to the front page.

Looking at the last few editions, for example, there are about 6 items which could be classed as 'regular', but which sit in the left-hand column: 360, AGG, Vogon Poetry, Poetry, Quiz, Emoticon competition and the new film review by Jedi Jade.

If we classed ALL of the these as regulars, we would be left with only 5 'features' and 19 'regulars'... not a very balanced page at all!

Anyway... the AGG team know that they are afforded prime position (number one spot) at the top of the left column whereas they would probably lurk much lower on the right!

Before you inquire about how the position of each item is determined, let me explain that also.
It is purely done using the past week's edition as a template... first the ones which featured the previous week are coded in and then any extra's used to fill any gaps. Believe me, recoding 20 odd items afresh every week just isn't an option at 2am in the morning!

It would be quite funny to have 20 regulars and like, 2, features wouldnt it though?



I keep proding MaW (my brother) to Muse more often but he seems to think his exams are more important. And as he is bigger than me I cant really do much to enforce it. pity really.

I think the post could do with a team of bouncers to round up rogue entries!
