A Conversation for A Visitor's Guide to Houston, Texas
Houston Area Driving?!?!

Good entry, I don't know how I missed it so far.
A couple of items:
I moved to Houston in 1967 to start college. A comic was doing a routine about the freeways, "A guy drives into Houston for the first time, he gets lost on the four level overpasses on the freeways. He finally gets to a gas station, four guys run out and change all his tires. Then one says, 'Get back out there, you're in third place!'"
And the Pasadena Police do NOT have any sense of humor about yellow lights. I recently got a ticket for being a second late. So I get to spend a Saturday in Defensive Driving ... not too bad, the one here in Deer Park is at a Mexican restaurant with all the chips and dips you can eat, plus lunch.
