There's no article about Peanuts! This is the only one!

This is a good start. You should call the entry "Peanuts - the cartoon strip". I thought at first it was about the food.
You should mention somewhere in the article the name of the person who created the Peanuts strip and the fact that he diedin the last few years.
If you really wanted to go into detail, you could make a list of every peanuts character, such as Pigpen, Peppermint Patty and so on.

Hi Insight!
I agree with Gnomon - a worthy subject for a guide entry (well spotted!).
I particularly like your analysis of Charlie Brown as being all of us - I think that's true. Also your discussion of themes is very interesting - I'm not an avid follower of Peanuts by any means, but I think the "unrequited love" theme is very interesting. Are there any other themes that could be drawn out. I thought there was always an element of social satire - the "Psychaitrist is In" booth, for instance!
I think more needs to be said about Snoopy and Woodstock. They have a life of their own seperate from the other characters.
An excellent start, though!
Best wishes
Otto

Hello.
If you want to get this entry back into Peer Review, I think it would benefit from a bit of history.

When & where was it first published? October 2, 1950

Definitely a worthy subject and a good start on an entry. I would like to make a suggestion for a possible organizational scheme for the entry if I may
I like Trout's idea about putting in a bit of history. Perhaps you could start with the intro you already have, then add in the history section, then create a section entirely devoted to characters. Each could have his/her own subheading and a little description, as you've already sort of started. (I noticed in the last part, some characters are mentioned without being introduced previously as some of the others were.) Then at the end, you could talk about the themes present in the strip.
Definitely an entry with potential
Cheers!

On his behalf...
David is presently working. Very hard. I won't go into it - if he wants you to know, he'll tell you himself - but I don't think he'll mind me telling you that. What is more, he (unlike me ) has to pay for the internet, which is very slow on his machine (I'm not sure why, it just is - maybe he goes on at the wrong times, I don't know). He won't have much time to reply (or write, which he does offline on notepad). However, I will e-mail and ask him if he wants to do some more work on it/read some replies concerning his work.

How did he reply to your e-mail, Jordan.
(I try to think of Jordan as a racing-car but images of Dwight Yorke's bedroom keep popping into my head!)

Hi Monty! (No, I just /couldn't/ resist mutilating your name...)
I haven't got round to asking - there were some family problems, so I didn't get much time to e-mail. I will ask him soon - honest!
From my experience, it's unlikely that he'll reply too soon. He's very - shall we say - chaotic. (Isn't that one of the signs of genius? )
By the way, what does Dwight Yorke's bedroom look like? If it makes it easier, if I were a car, I would like to be the one out of Knightrider... !

From memory it was pokey, almost like one of those roof conversion jobs.

Nasty. My bedroom is generally: (a) impeccably tidy; (b) impossibly messy; or (c) in the process of shifting rapidly from one state to another.
Perhaps I should sell my body on the street and get a bigger room?
