But he does have a point: spamming is bad. And it's counter-productive since it tends to turn h2g2ers off. The best advertising is to put a reference in your name and then go and participate in other forums.

Don't worry, Yo - it doesn't hurt. It just makes you immune from bobo spheres in the future, so that when you form your own, you don't get zapped by them. (There's also the secret ritual that the Chief does when you are 'out', that gives you the bobo powers).
